I Help People Put AI to Work

I’m Keawepoʻo Fragas, founder of Akeakamai AI and an AI translator based on Oʻahu. With more than five years of experience in AI implementation, I help small businesses and everyday people understand technology and apply it to the work and ideas that matter to them.

My work includes AI consulting, website development, chatbots, customer management systems, and workflow automation. I start by listening and working through five questions:

  • What are you trying to accomplish?
  • Where are you getting stuck or spending more time than you should?
  • Why does solving this matter to you and the people you serve?
  • How can we use the right tools to make a practical improvement?
  • When would that improvement make the biggest difference?

Your answers shape what we build and how I teach you to use it.

I’ve created websites for businesses and community organizations, helped owners get their businesses started, and provided ongoing digital support. I stay involved beyond the build, explaining the tools clearly and helping people feel confident using what we create.

My Tech-Stacking Framework: Learn It, Build It, Use It

My teaching centers on a practical tech-stacking framework: choosing tools that work together and connecting them into a clear, repeatable workflow. I guide clients and students through a task that matters to them, from the first idea to a usable result.

They practice as they learn, creating resources such as flyers, presentations, business content, or automated workflows. Each session is designed to give them something they can use immediately, along with the skills and confidence to repeat the process on their own.

That means understanding what each tool contributes, how to move work between tools, and how to check the result before using or sharing it. The goal is a useful skill they can carry into their next project.

Teaching Across Generations

In 2025, I taught a four-session AI Essentials course through Banning Parks & Recreation, with 18 graduates ranging from age 10 to adults in their 60s. Students explored tools many had never heard of and completed their own lessons, presentations, and slides using what they learned. Participants received certificates of completion.

Students shared that the tools helped them save time and made unfamiliar tasks more approachable. Diana Benhar told me she hadn’t realized how easy creating flyers could be. Another student used the skills to develop crochet guides. Our youngest learner created a coloring book she planned to sell on Etsy with her parents’ help.

Those projects are why I teach. A person arrives with an idea or a question and gains the confidence to make something of their own. I meet learners at their starting point and help them build skills they can apply right away.

Continued Learning, Applied to Real Work

My professional development includes Vanderbilt University’s Prompt Engineering for ChatGPT, Google’s Generative AI for Educators Certificate, and IBM’s Introduction to AI. I also participate in the Google Developer Program and communities including Google Developer Groups, Google Cloud Innovators, and Google Maps Platform Innovators.

I bring that learning into client projects, instruction, and my own creative work. More recently, I’ve turned my original written lyrics into self-produced music releases. I use large language models and AI music tools to support composition, arrangement, and production, while guiding the stories, sound, and creative direction myself.

As a proud member of the Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce, I bring pono and mālama into how I serve: listen carefully, be honest about what I can deliver, and follow through on my promises.

Tools I Use and Explore

I choose tools around the task and the person using them. My toolkit includes:

  • CapCut Pro: Video editing and content production.
  • SuperGrok: Exploring ideas and creative directions.
  • ChatGPT Pro by OpenAI: Planning, writing, problem-solving, and development support.
  • Claude Pro: Writing, document work, and coding assistance.
  • Perplexity: Research and finding sources to review.
  • NotebookLM: Working with source material and organizing learning.
  • Gemini: Exploring ideas and supporting everyday projects.

For more advanced exploration, I also work with DeepSeek, Kimi, and LM Studio, alongside open-source projects and models where their licenses and capabilities fit the work.

You do not need every tool or a paid subscription to begin. Start with one task you want to make easier, learn the workflow, and check the results.
